LES MISERABLES - MAY 2026



MAY 2026 PRODUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT

Engadine Musical Society is kicking off the 50th celebrations in spectacular style! We’re proud to announce the legendary musical, Les Misérables will be on the Engadine stage in May 2026.

Epic, grand and uplifting, Les Misérables has won over 100 international awards and has been seen by over 65 million people worldwide. Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables tells a sweeping story of love, sacrifice, redemption, and the unyielding fight for freedom. This truly modern classic is based on Victor Hugo's novel and features one of the most memorable scores of all time including “Do You Hear the People Sing?”, “I Dreamed a Dream” and “One Day More”.

THE WIZARD OF OZ - OCTOBER 2026



OCTOBER 2026 PRODUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT

We’re off to see the Wizard!

Engadine Musical Society is delighted to announce our October 2026 production — The Wizard of Oz! Our next stop in celebrating our 50 years of song, story and community follows the yellow brick road. Join us as Dorothy and Toto journey from Kansas, over the rainbow to the magical land of Oz. Along the way we meet all the characters we know and love – Scarecrow, Tinman, The Cowardly Lion and of course, Glinda, and The Wicked Witch of the West.

Almost 80 years old, L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale continues to entertain audiences worldwide. We can’t wait to bring the story of “no place like home” to our home of Engadine in October 2026.

Key Audition Dates:
Orientation: Monday 1 June @ 7.30pm
Auditions: Sunday 14 June from 9am
Callbacks: Wednesday 17 June @ 7pm
Rehearsals Commence: Monday 22 June at 7.30pm

Rehearsals: Monday nights, Wednesday nights and selected Sundays from June - October

Auditions and rehearsals are at Star of the Sea Parish Hall, Kiora Rd, Miranda.

Audition Information
The Audition Pack (released at Orientation and then available on our website here) will outline role guidance and any audition requirements. Questions relating to these aspects will not be answered until after the Audition Pack is released.

Following Orientation this page will have:
- Audition Pack
- Audition Form
- Any readings that may be required
- Any callback material that may be required
- Rehearsal availability form
- Any other support assets mentioned at Orientation or in the Audition Pack.

Audition bookings will open immediately following Orientation.

In the spirit of reconciliation Engadine Musical Society acknowledges the Dharawal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we perform and gather. We recongise the Dharawal people’s continuing connection to the land, the sea and the community. We pay our respect to the Elders both past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. We acknowledge the First Peoples of Australia as the first storytellers. May their stories and songlines continue to flow through this country.
